Four point docking hardware?

Default Four point docking hardware?
Hey everyone. Tried searching but ran short. Bought a new to me 05EGC. It has a four point mount/docking station and your pack on it. Got and function is fine. The thing I’m trying to figure out is the mounting pattern itself? I have my bike next to a co workers. The distance front to rear on my docking points Is shorter then his. Is this a model year thing or a design thing? All racks I see are for 09 later?

There were changes but not knowing your coworker's model or year makes the comparison difficult.

His is an 11 road king I believe. It appears to be a 09 model year change?

I think it was 09 when it changed not 100% sure. I had an 01 Road Glide and had sissy bar and luggage rack. Neither will fit my 15 ultra limited.

That’s kind of what I’m seeing. I assumed the four point would be universal. But it appears I need to find an 08-older rack

Four point docking began in 09. 2008 back to 1997 uses different docking hardware, specifically the 53803-06 and 53804-06 docking point hardware kits for either solo or two up setups.

That makes sense. I have no idea what is on mine then? It is a four point dock, but the length between the pins is certainly different then the 09+ hd version

You have both the 53803-06 and 53804-06 docking kits allowing you to run a tour pak or upright or solo setups.

I already have a dock on mine. I was trying to determine compatibly with racks etc as it measures different then the oem version I’ve seen

ride it to the dealer and see if they can match up the 2 pieces
