i have an 06 ultra classic. i want to clean up the tank console and eliminate the headset port panel on my tank console. would like the street glide look. has anyone done this ??
I relocated the headset port to the heat shield below the seat on the left side and installed a StreetGlide dash on my RGU. No problem if you can find a SG dash for your 07. If memory serves me, the 07 has a 5 gal tank so you would be looking for an 06-07 SG dash.
6 months later, how did this turn out? I took my headset panel off of my 2000 today, looking for something to cover the hole.
You can get an insert from a model that doesn't have a headset plug. I pulled the headset plug on my Limited and replaced it with a plug for my heated gear.

I used this from Gerbing. It's not perfectly flush but it been there for 7 years and it's better than the heated gear plug hanging from under the seat.
Some people use this panel mount attached to the heat deflector.

I like that, that is where the heated gear plug should be.
