Default Daytime running lights/ rear running lights not working

I have a 2012 street glide and recently noticed when I got home from my last ride my front running lights or the rear break lights weren’t on. so I started troubling shooting I checked to make sure that the signals worked when pressed on and they did as well as the break light when pressed. Next I checked the fuse box, and replaced the number 12 fuse labeled (lights) and the running lights and rear break lights came back on. So I thought the problem was solved but it wasn’t went back out on another ride and noticed the lights went back out. Replaced the fuse again and lights came back on, so my thought is something else must be making the fuse blow out any ideas?

You must have a short somewhere or a pinched wires that are crossing that's causing the blown fuse. Most common place for the rear brakes are in the area under the seat or under the rear fender where a tire could rub through the loom. that's where I'd check for something obvious. Nothing obvious, you'll need to start checking the individual ends for each rear light with a multimeter for spikes/dips.

I am confused about your brake light, did it work before you changed the fuse or not? Running lights: I have an 08 Road King so it probably has different light fixtures so the wiring might also be different. With that in mind, my front running/turn signal lights had a 90 degree spade connector for ground and that connector wore through the running light wire on one side and repeatedly blew my lighting fuse. Checking wires inside the rear fender might be difficult unless the rear wheel is removed, the wires to your front running/turn signal lights would be easier to check. When trouble shooting my problem, I removed the seat and disconnected the rear lights with the plug under the seat. In my case the fuse blew again so I checked the front lights first and found the problem.

Did you figure this out my I noticed on my ultra last night the rear running lights was not working. The brake and turn works. Both the front and rear fender tip lights don’t work either.
