Default RE: rear lowering

Done Both - Started out with the Rear Lowering Cam adjustable from - 1 1\2" - 2 1\2" - Set it on the -2 1\2" and did not work well at all riding 2-up... and would bottom out on minor dips 1-up (with the air between 32 - 45lbs) - Changed it to 1 1\2" Much better but the cush ride was all but gone 2-up (had to add more air) - Finally changed over to Progressive 11 1\2" hd and even 2 up very seldom bottom out...

Would a person be better off with the factory 13" shocks and the lowering cams that way you would still maintain the full shock travel but lower the suspension ?

I have the stock 13 in shocks and had it lowered 1 1/2 inches in the back then I went and put bag extensions on and have dragged the bottom of the bag3 times. I going to eventually go with an air ride. Can't afford it yet. Good luck.

Safest way to go is with 12 inch shocks. I am happy with my Progressive 12" 412's with HD springs. Reasonably priced.
