Default Which solo seat

Hello,

I have a Road King 2018 and bought a Wide Tripper seat.

Unfortunately, I'm sitting too far back so that I get tension in the
back. The handlebars are no longer easy to reach.

Which seat enables me to have a sitting position like the original
seat? However, I don't want to sit higher or further forward than the
original.

And it should be a single seat that has the lowest possible profile,
is comfortable even for long rides and has good support for the lower back.

Thanks much, Kai

I don't think you will find any low profile solo seats good for long rides, been there done that. You can send your seat off to Mean City and have them modify it for you.

Depends on what you call a long ride. I can do a 200-300 mile days on my low profile HD touring seat without issue. It's their CVO copy seat. Pretty comfy.. Any more miles and I'm looking for my Hammock seat

My vote is C&C seats.com. I have had one of their solo seats on my King and now SG and I love! They are a great company and service!

It sounds like you and I are looking for the same thing in a solo seat. It seems that most do change your riding position, ie Mustang Low Down moves you too far forward from stock and HD Low Profile moves you too far back from stock.

You might want to take a look at the HD Premium Solo Seat from Sargent. It's available in two Versions, Standard and Extended Reach. It looks like the Standard will put me in the same position as my stock seat. I've got one on order, but they're 2-3 weeks behind due to Covid.

I'm running a LePera upfront solo seat. Fits my needs well. If I were going to make a cross country trip I'd probably put the original seat
back on it.

I like my Corbin Close solo. It put me in about the same position as stock.
I ordered it with softer foam than they normally use, an option that a lot of people don't know about.
The stock Corbins are way to hard for my liking, but this one was comfortable right out of the box, no break in required.

It took me 18 months and four seats but I finally settled on the Mustang Standard Touring (79600). Check with your dealer to see if they have demo seats, many do and it could say you a bunch of money.
