I just get t back from vacation and checked the Instrument panel and I noticed when I turn the key on or I should say ignition a key emblem does come up but cannot find the FobI guess maybe has been disconnected or never installed

The red key light has several jobs - all described in your owners manual! If you don't have one go to the H-D website and the Owners tab, where you can download one for free.

Really not all that hard to get rid of the security system. I bought a repo bike that had the security system but no fobs. Bought a tsm module to replace the tssm and went through the process of marrying it to the bike. Don't remember the exact process but involves leaving the key switch on and off for specific times and patterns. Bike started and ran fine with the new tsm. Find the tsm part number for your model year and see what is installed in your bike.
