So Sunday afternoon I decided to take the ferry home instead of riding around. When I rode off the ferry I saw my security light was still on. I stopped and checked the code and it came up as B1153 which is a problem in the right-hand control module. That same code popped up last month when I was in California and Harley just cleared it and said it was probably a glitch. When I started the bike back up I noticed the idle was sitting at around 2k with the throttle in the neutral position but would drop back down to around 1k if I rolled the throttle forward. When I got home a brother suggested it may be a problem with the EITMS so I disabled. After disabling the EIMTS the idle returned to normal. I re-enabled the EITMS and it's still working fine. Does anyone know what could have caused the issue? I tried talking to Harley but they gave me the bullshit answer that they couldn't replicate the problem so there's nothing they can do. It's probably hard to tell in the attached video but you can hear the idle drops when I roll the throttle forward and see it when I turn the phone to the tach.
Kill switch in run position. Do not touch the throttle. Turn on the ignition switch and wait 10 seconds. Turn off ignition switch. Repeat procedure 4 times. In the future, don’t roll the throttle when turning the bike off, especially if you use the kill switch.

That tells me literally nothing. I physically can't twist the throttle and hit the kill switch since I use my right hand to hit the switch.
That procedure will reset the idle issue youre having back to default. Sorry I didnt make that clear.
Disabling and then re-enabling the EITMS accomplished that as well. But what caused the issue in the first place? The heads weren't nearly hot enough for EIMTS to activate.
no, it wasn't disabling and re-enabling eitms that did it. that was just a coincidence that it happened that way for you. the procedure that galvtexguy gave you is how to reset the 'zero' throttle position. what happens is, if you have the throttle twisted any at all, when you shut down, the ecm learns that position as zero throttle and you end up with a higher than normal throttle.
Obviously Im not going to get any answers from this thread. The throttle was in the normal zero position when I killed the bike. Just like it is every single other time. This was no exception. My throttle hand is how I hit my run/kill switch. I did not follow the directions given since the problem was fixed before posting this thread. So Im just gonna say its magic. If an admin can lock this thread thatd be awesome.

First, your post, along with video, made it difficult to clearly understand what issues youre having or were having. I gave you the solution for the issue in your video in good faith while trying to be helpful.
Second, you could at least try to show a little appreciation for someone willing to take the time and effort to help, whether or not you got the answers you were expecting.

Im sorry I wasnt more help, but I did try.
My frustration came from the second poster. As he had suggested the same thing you had after I had said that wasnt what caused the issue. My response to you was level headed. At least for me. But I cant control how other people perceive text.
