So I’m looking at cup holder for both myself and the wife. For myself I’m pretty sure I’m going with the Harley boded that mounts to the down tube. Talked with a couple guys that have them and they like them. What about One for the passenger? There are bunches out there and I know some are junk. I would prefer to know this before I order it and have it in my hand. What brand/model y’all had the best luck with?
I use the Cruiser Caddy (Kruzer Kaddy). Mounted tp my left switches. You can also get it with a clamp to mount it to a bar.
Smart Water with the spout & Gatorade with the sport style spout fit perfectly. Or you can buy their cup that's insulated. It's possibly a bit tougher to drink from though depending on your helmet choice.
If you are the type to go bar hopping or short rides to the local Starbucks then a cup holder would be about worthless.
For longer trips it's awesome to have. I try to keep water there always. When it's hot I'll even squirt some water down the front of my shirt. Soaks my undershirt to provide some cooling.
the best one i've found is the barefoot *******. good and solid, doesn't spill, very adjustable and they have a great warranty. after 9 years, mine cracked. i contacted them, they asked for pics, and sent me a brandy new one in less than a week.
I like to stay hydrated on long trips. It's only smart. Made the mistake of buying a Ciro for my handlebars. First time I used it the chrome ring on the mount flew off and almost lost the plastic ring under it. Put the insulated cup in the sink to wash it and the top ring came off the cup. Super-glued it back on. Aside from those problems, it's worked just fine.
