As long as you get the same base/mount (std antenna), anything will work. Amazon has tons...check the ratings. One thing to consider is where you ride. Back when I had my '09 FLHX, I swapped stock/whip f/ HD shorty, but didn't like the pole jutting out on back...always in the way. I ended up installing HD Boom Hidden under fairing & adding "Y" connector w/ a 2nd short antenna, also under fairing. This really added great reception...just a thought. Good luck!
Check YouTube for "Harley antenna relocation". That is what I did on my Street Glide. Keeps the same antenna, but it gets tucked up along the frame. Then bought a plug to fill the hole. Cheap and easy.
don't know if I'd consider it "stubby" but it gets good reception....I had a longer plastic one on an this one works way better. I had a long chrome on on for a while to get decent reception an the one I just got works almost as well.

Agreed, I did the same and used this video and it took maybe 15 minutes. Tried a couple of replacement antenna's purchased off Amazon and at Auto Zone and neither worked well.
