2010 Electraglide UC Front brakes pulsating
I have a 2010 Electraglide UC with 88K Km on it. I’ve been experiencing pretty severe pulsating with the front brakes as of late. I’ve tried everything I can think of and read on several forums including:
1. New brake fluid
2. Took to dealer for the brake fluid recall and had a full brake system flush
3. Replaced the rotors thinking one was warped
4. New EBC brake pads installed. While replacing the pads I accidentally popped out one of the pistons on the left caliper so I broke it apart and put the piston back in. Bled the brakes and no change
5. Bought a new set of calipers (from a guy that replaced his with chrome ones before taking possession) and replaced the left-side one (in case I nicked or damaged the piston or seal from 4 above

6. Since I have the new one I will replace the right side caliper next... Didn’t do anything on that side except replace the pads and bleed when replacing the brake fluid.
7. Using fresh, just opened DOT4 brake fluid each time I’ve worked on the brakes.
8. Both sides have been thoroughly cleaned with brake cleaner to ensure there’s no debris stuck in and around the pistons, etc.
9. Had a new inspection recently and nothing noted with any bearing issues, etc. Also checked the front wheel for any obvious signs of movement (worn bearing) as well as the headset. All seem solid and no play noticeable.
This pulsating is severe when stopping at highway speeds, much less so when going slower and when I am coming to a stop its there as well... Then its like it’s grabbing and losing grip as the wheels turn and the bike is moving, just a little annoying.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! At my wits end with it at this point!

But you never know...
- Any weird wear patterns or cupping on the tire?
- Could the wheel bearings be bad?
- Can you pull the wheel and maybe put it on a truing stand to see if it is bent or the rotors have a wobble?
Wheel bearings feel fine in that with the wheel off the ground there is no play in the wheel at all.
Don’t have a truing stand but will see what I can jimmy-up to give it a test

Seems like I remember seeing a post about similar issue and someone suggested pistons on one side of a brake caliper could be stuck, but not sure about that.
