beads work
Just got back from a 2 day run to Reddin CA and back - 980 miles. My stock EGC seat lowered and shaped by Mean City Cycles felt real good all the way down for day one. On the way back I wanted some comfort options and had brought along a 10" square mat of small wooden beads. This was made as a lumbar support for a car seat that I bought for $9 and cut the beaded mat part out. So I put that on my seat for the 450 miles home and it was great. Since it wasn't made for this application and didn't strap to the seat it was also moveable. So after a while when things got sore I could push on the floorboards, lift myself up a bit and rotate the beaded mat 90 degrees and I had a new fresh seating area that felt great. Did this several times on the way home and it made a world of difference.
