So...have you had a chance to take her out to test the adaptive feature yet? You could always tint the turn lenses to match the headlight.
Sorry no, we have been getting hit with rain since I installed. I want to put my go pro on the back of my wifes Jeep and follow her down a couple back roads so get some video from that angle as well as from the riders position on my bike. I'm trying to get to it this weekend if the two hurricanes don't come up to NC.
So after many nights, some with moonlight other very dark and a couple rainy, I can't say this adaptive lights helps that much.
Yes it does light up a little more into the turns, maybe more if I had tighter turns that I could take at a faster speed, but where I live out here in the country I'm not seeing a big improvement. Highway lights do a much better job. But if your dead set on not having highway lights on your touring bike then this light will help a little, no way its worth the $800 price tag for what it does.
I do like the halo ring that make me more visible during the day, and the over all look of the light on my bike is nice. But I wouldn't recommend unless you already have highway lights, curious if you would even notice the adaptive with them or not?
Sorry it took so long for a review but I wanted to give this light a fair shake before I either recommended or in this case recommended against.
I have an LED headlamp and have been considering changing to an adaptive LED headlight. I do very little night riding, mainly due to abundant wildlife, so changing to the adaptive headlamp has not been a priority. I appreciate your review of the HD adaptive headlight. My guess is the JW Speaker light is not much different regarding the effectiveness of the adaptive function.
I will continue to back burner the adaptive headlight. I can't end without commenting on your bike. You have done a remarkable job with it. Very classy.
Thanks for the review hd_rolling. My current setup on my King are the 1st gen H-D reflectors. All three do a decent job of lighting up all four lanes of the highway on dark nights, but like you, was looking for more light on those country roads. I'm also looking for more lumens to light up the road, as it's getting more dark when I leave for work and dark when I leave work. It might be me, but the reflectors don't do anything on high beams, at least I can't tell, so looking to replace my setup with more lumens and better high beams.
It's also getting colder, so it's time to put on the batwing and lowers for sure.

That's something I forgot to mention, I was impressed with the high beam output. But on that note I also have air ride in the rear and can adjust my headlights at the push of a button. But still I believe these highs are better than my last three headlights (Truck light phase 7, older harley daymaker, sunpie).
I really wanted to love this headlight, that's why I waited so long to put out a review. I wasn't sure if once it burnt in if the lights would work better or not, sadly they did not.

Thank you Sir, I really love my bike.
Getting ready to tear into soon, I've been gathering parts to freshen up the 120R motor. Swapping out my Jagg oil cooler for their fan assisted version, replacing the SE cam plate and out pump for the S&S unit. Swapping in new S&S lifters, new cam bearings, s&s cam chain tensioners, black pushrod covers, new AV&V valve springs and a new D&D Boarzilla with ghost pipe but in black this time.
Now that the temps are cooling down I'm ready to turn some wrenches!
