The H-D conversion kit is 53246-09A, might be 53246-09C now, but I don't think it's discontinued. Call some of the online H-D stores like Surdyke. Some may have them backordered 'til Sept.

If you are just looking for a way to mount/remove a tour pack, then another option would be to look for someone getting rid of the stock tour pack mount. I used to use the QD docking kit to mount the tour pack. But I found I can install/remove it almost as fast with the stock mount. And the stock mount NEVER rattles.

Of course, if you are also wanting to mount other stuff like a passenger backrest or luggage rack, then you will need the qd mount. But even then, I leave the qd mount attached to my luggage rack and swap it out using the mounting bolts. If you end up having to adjustment the cams at all to get rid of a rattle when you do a swap, then I'd bet using the stock mount is just as fast.

Just pointing out an option.

I agree totally with the previous post. My docking hardware always made my tour pack rattle and move slightly no matter how I adjusted the oblong bushings. The permanent rack mount comes off with 4 bolts without having to remove saddlebags and is so much sturdier than the docking hardware.

Good to know. I hate rattles.

I've had my H-D 4-point docking hardware since I bought my '13 King new. I take my TP on and off often, as well as my luggage rack and backrest. Never had to adjust the mounting points and no rattles so far.

A buddy had aftermarkets and those did rattled after a couple years. He now has the H-D and no rattles so far in 5 years.

I was able to get it to stop rattling using the adjustments. But it would start again within 500 miles or so. It's possible that I wasn't tightening them enough...but I was cranking hard enough to be concerned about stripping it.

The other headache was that the correct oval positions for the tour pack and luggage rack were different. That meant they had to be adjusted every time I swapped them. Now I leave the docking hardware connected to the luggage rack, and the stock mount attached to the tour pack. 4 bolts and I'm done...with nothing to adjust.
