He all, Im working on my 01 road king Efi. This bike is mostly custom, I got it this way. The bars are awful for me, so low it hurts me back to ride it. So I ordered the taller bars from HD and they bolt right , the wiring is good, but the throttle, brake and clutch cables are too short
the part number of the bars I bought is 55954-00
I'm guessing whoever built this bike used cables shorter than stock. Can anyone confirm that stock length cables the the clutch, brake, and throttle will work with these bars and suggest where I can buy them as a kit?
chrome bar is 4-1/2 inches higher and 2 inches narrower than the stock handlebar found on '96-99 Road KingŽ models and 3-1/2 inches higher and 1-1/2 inches narrower than stock handlebar on '00-'01 Road KingŽ models.
May luck out, since you should have about 2" of slack in the cables that is useable, so the bars being 3 -1/2" taller, but 1-1/" narrow, put you in the 2" range of extra run of cable that the bike has.
