Default Police Bike Value

Local guy selling this bike. 2004 Road King with 10,000 miles on it. Wants 11k for it with side car. Anyone have an opinion if this is a solid buy? Looking for something I can ride with the wife and kid on occasion. Here's one of the pictures. Bike looks to be in excellent condition(though ya never know until your up close and in person).

Looks like it belongs in a museum! You'd probably have to debadge it to legally ride it. ☹

Sounds like a good enough deal if that's what you want.

The value is in the sidecar. It will bring a good price to the right buyer. Would I pay 11,000 for it. You bet. What can you expect? Sidecars do accelerate wear on drive train. With 10,000 miles I would not be concerned. if you purchased it you would want to keep an eye on belt and sprockets. Tire wear in fast on sidecar rigs. Some states may not allow Police markings to stay for normal use.
To a person that wants a good not great sidecar at a fair price it would not be a bad move. But before you buy a sidecar know what you are getting into. It will take you time to learn. Once you do you can ride with anyone most any where with it.
Now as for riding wife on bike and child in sidecar. It all depends on size and weight. Most indoctrinated will tell you no it can not be done. But if set up right done right and you sharpen your skills yes you can. Don't not let nay sayers scare you away from a great adventure if it is what you want.
Take no advice from anyone that does not have a good number of miles in the seat of one. Done right they are amazing. We have a Sidecar thread here. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/hacke...railering-100/
On the dragon in July. Payton lives in a wheel chair she has pretty much grown up in a sidecar.

You will need to remove some items, like the siren, police lighting fixture, etc.

I don't understand the police markings and equipment. I was under the impression that a police department strips the siren, radio and decals off of the vehicle before it is sold. Did the seller build the bike to mimic a police motorcycle or did he buy it that way?

Likely in the hands of a LEO either still on the job or retired. Often Departments allow officers to keep the badging and lights. They use them in Parades and other public events. Here the lights can stay on but must be covered when not used in a parade when used by none LEO.
The sidecar does not appear to be an HD sidecar. Suspension does not look right either. Still worth the 11 K if clean and done right. Bike it's self is not worth much.

Not a naysayer, but I am saying it’s a different skill set

This is not a real police bike. The logos are wrong and the name Spurbury on the saddle bag is from the movie Super Trooper.
