Super Shox
The owner Brian is a great guy to deal with. Give him a call and he will walk you through the right setup for you taking into consideration the bike make, model, year, driver / passenger weight and tour pack or not. I spoke with him and he talked me through the options. I have a 2020 FLTRX that HD should be ashamed of their stock shocks, they were horrible and needed to be replaced immediately. I went with the Super Shox Premium 14" and I'm telling you it is a night and day difference. From cringing on every ride feeling every bump or pothole to enjoying even rougher roads. After I brought my bike home my friend had me take his CVO in for the same Super Shox Premiums. Brian definitely knows his shocks and stands by his products to make sure the customer is happy. Do your self a favor and give him call.

I had them on my 2012 Limited....
They were much better than OEM. They were a nice shock...
I sold them with that bike a few years ago and replaced the bike with a 2016 Ultra Classic...
This time, I went with Ohlins from Howard at Motorcyle Metal. I got his #3-#3 shocks... They are better than the SuperShox and the price was reasonable ...

Haven't check prices since I made my purchase, and everything goes up..... But I bought them two years ago, with Howard's HD Forum discount, they were under $800. Howard does charge you the credit card fee, so mine were just a tick over $800, using a credit card..
Call him about the discount and check out his web site for the prices..
Considering I paid $656.57 delivered for the SuperShox, with a promotional discount, in 9/2015... I believe the Ohlins were well worth the price I paid...

I am only 5'8" so longer shocks than OEM are not in the cards for me... Plus, I am not a fan of any kind of shock lowering mounts... Won't use them... Yeah, I've read plenty about people who love them, but I won't put them on my bike....
If I was going to try longer than OEM shocks, I'd go with the Ohlin remote reservoir shocks. They are only 1/4" longer than OEM.
I got the shocks Howard calls #3-#3 (Ohlins HD 772/ HD FL BlackLine 329) because they have a minor length adjustment. I have them adjusted as short as they will go (12 3/4" v 13" OEM), along with sag, they allow for comfortable stops with both feet down.
Like I said, the regular size SuperShox were a good shock... For me, the Ohlins are a better ride...
I've tried adjusting the amount of air in the OEM shocks, changing the fluid viscosity in OEM air shocks, the SuperShox, and now the Ohlins... Each time I would change/try something, I would take the wife for a ride without telling her... Every time I would then ask her about the change in the ride and she was never impressed...
With the Ohlins, I took her over a local, rough patch of road in the beginning of the ride... She tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Have you changed something? That wasn't bad at all...!" The Ohlins were the only change she noticed on her own... and she liked them...
No..... never tried a 14" shock...
