Default Clutch problems

I have a 2019 street glide special 8400 miles stage 4 on a 114. Pass 3 months after riding 30 minutes to 1 hour, it will not down shift through every gear with out releasing clutch for every gear. HD shop said they can not find the problem. When it went in the shop 3 month ago for the same problem they said the tensioner jumped and was in a bind. Also last Saturday while on cruise control the bike jumped out of 6th gear into 5th. Did it 5 times. It will not do it when cruise it off. Has anyone gone through the same thing ?

Would start with the simple things, like making sure that the shift arm bolt is tight, and tight to the pawl spines.

Shot of that on the trans, the trans cover needs to come off to check the shifter drum and shift legs rods, and if you still don't find the problem, then trans need to come apart to find the problem, such as rounded dog legs on the gears that is causing the clutch to pop out of gear (if you did get the trans all the way in 6th gear).

As for clutch, would power bleed it to get new fluid in the system to start with so your getting a full throw on full lever, then adjust the clutch adjuster on the basket correctly as well, if the hard shift problems is the clutch itself the problem. Hell, at 9k and hard clutch usage, may have a spring plate rivet that broke loose, and is stuck in the basket/plates to cause the clutch to not fully disengage in the first place. If after market clutch, such as extra plate that replaces the HD spring plate, may not have been installed correctly, causing it to not fully release on lever pull.

You are still under warranty, if the locals can't fix it have the dealership contact MOCO and see if some one from the mothership can look at it or put in a new transmission.

You don't say if the down shifting problem is while rolling or at a stop Check for looseness in the shift linkage along with the rear arm being loose. The ball joints can wear, usually requires 25,000 to 50,000 miles, but can happen any time. Does the shift lever touch the foot board at any time while shifting thus limiting its movement. The front shift lever(s) can get loose and slip also. Assume you are just curious about causes as your warranty should take care of this unless you habitually slam the shift linkage.

It happens when I am down shifting. If I have have to stop quick and it's in 3 or 4 gear, I have to let the clutch out to down shift. A new clutch was put in when the stage 4 installed.
