I was unaware you could put lower folk deflectors on a bike with a fairing. I actually searched the other day and came up empty. Guess I wasnt looking in the right place. Ill do some more searching. Thanks for the suggestion
Most people call them fork fangs, I got mine from JES Customs but Harley also makes them.
Anyone know for sure if the HD brand will fit an 09 Ultra? HD site says they won't but have seen post from folks claiming the will. Would love to know for sure from someone that has actually installed them before I spend the money to order.
I've had the fork tree wind deflectors on my Ultra Classic and Ultra Limited, and they helped reduce the wind coming up between the front of the gas tank and the fairing, but these wings work way better. I just put a set of these on my Tri-Glide, and I didn't realize just how much wind and wind noise I was getting before. They are the best things I've personally experienced yet to reduce/eliminate wind buffeting and noise, and they definitely cooled my 103HO down about 10-15 degrees too, which is a huge benefit in the summer months.
Just installed a 9 Freedom Shields recurved dark smoke windshield on my Street Glide. I REALLY like it. Big improvement. I had a 7 tall Harley windshield on it on it to replace the factory 5, and the Freedom Shields is the ticket. Im 63 and long waisted so I sit tall in the saddle.I look over the top of it about two inches.
I ordered the wrong fork fangs but will get that straightened out later.
I have the DKcutom wind deflectors on my 2020 triglide. They were better than nothing, I rode my buddies triglide & he has the Baker air wings. It's night & day different. I'm ordering the Bakers to replace the DK's. $160. is a lot of money, but they work!
