loud ticking noise

**UPDATE**
As it turns out I had a "Lazy Lifter"...I went ahead and installed new S&S lifters ..They have the LT (limited travel) kit installed. From what I understand about the lifter is, it makes the lifter act more like a solid lifter at high rpms, but still have the benefits of a hydraulic lifter. I have learned a bit about this part of the engine process. The bike is quiet as a mouse now and seems to have a more "crisper" feel to the throttle response. It seems like a different bike now...much more power and no sluggishness....if that's a term. I'm thinking I used the wrong lifters when I replaced them a while back... Whereas it has a 95" kit in it I probably should have gone with a heavier duty lifter??
