Ok guys just brought home my first road glide. Its a 2015 and i am wondering why my phone doesn't automatically connect to my apple music. I have to keep going through the media option and hit iPhone every time. I did connect it but it doesn't seem right. I am doing alot of bolt on work and powder coating to this bike this winter so I will be asking alot of questions. I already love this thing. also does it answer call or show me incoming calls. This is a road glide standard. Thank you for any help. forgot to add my phone is a iphone 10s.

I have a '16 RGU, and I've switched to the GTS stereo a year ago... so this is from memory, yes you should be able to make and receive calls Bluetooth, you'll need the bikes headset plugged in to take the call and communicate. It would be a pain to be "bluetoothed" to the head unit, to get the incoming call notification, and try and use the iPhone's earbuds to communicate with. You can also get incoming text notifications, you can't read those on the stereo while moving, but they will play thru the speakers or headset, all though its a bit of a pain to do...meaning it could be easier (once you get a text notification you have to go to "phone", "messages", click on the text message). I could also bluetooth my music to that GT stereo from my iPhone, although I rarely did, I have usb stick with all my music and playlists on it that I leave plugged in instead. I had a iPhone 8 at the time, I don't think I ever use the 10R until after I'd switched the head unit out, but you should be ok. But the phone's music was on the same screen that would show my usb stick, I could just pick the phone as the source and it would play.
Check your head unit's software for updates and be sure what version your head unit currently has on it. I did the updates until the one that changed display for the oil pressure from a value to "ok"... I can't remember the version number of that one, but hopefully someone else will speak up about the software versions and whether or not that ever got "fixed" in later updates.
Also there's some settings to enable on the phone. Only one I can remember for sure is under the bluetooth settings, you go in the settings for the Boom! and enable "Show Notifications" and "Sync Contacts". I don't remember if there were any other settings that had to be done on the phone.
