When the 14's came out I bought one in Daytona Blue Pearl, AW was my second choice. If I knew back then what I have learned since, my next bike will be black and I will take it apart and repaint it a NON-Harley color that doesn't cost the price of replacing both kidneys.
I went even further than that. my last bike was a cvo. awesome paint job, roman gold/burnt emerald. I hit a deer one morning on the way to work. managed to keep it up, but the replacement front fender was over $1100. 6 months after that, I got rear ended and the bike was totaled. replaced it with vivid black and keeping it that way. I can get a replacement front fender for less than $200 on the used market.
My opinion be your own person, it suits you best and people will like you for it!
Second, I like the best color that's know one has, after all, who wants what everyone has..... BORING!
Just my two cents.

2012 FLHR (Road King) Stage II Red Ember Sunglo/Merlo Sunglo, Original HD Chrome Laced Profile Aluminum Spoke Tubeless Rims, ABS, Cruise Control, Security Package, Saddlebag LED Spoiler lights, and array of nostalgic & performance accessories that enhances appearance & blood curdling performance.
It’s a shame there is nothing available today that can measure white knuckles & big a$$ smiles.
I have a buddy has an Amber Whiskey Road King. I really like the color I the showroom, but it can look really old and tired, of at least it does on his.
