For the street glide , you might want to check out the Harley standard height (medium) passenger backrest.
My friend had a short model on his SG and it was a bit short for his girl.
He bought the standard (medium) and she likes it.
I have a medium on my EGS and it's a little short for my wife.
I will be going with a tall backrest this week.
The seat thickness has a lot to do with how the backrest looks and feels on the bike.
The backrest and the front docking kit , will allow you to put it on and take it off in under a minute.
I also use the luggage rack with the backrest (the one that mounts to the backrest itself) and it's really handy.
Keep in mind if you want to run the luggage rack that mounts to the backrest , it doesn't fit the short model , just the medium and tall.
If you go with the tall , you can really strap on some luggage for a big trip if you need.
Pretty neat setup , naked to luggage and back in about a minute.

i was surprised to see that buying an HD passenger backrest consisted of (i think) 4 different part numbers. the frame, pad, docking kit and XXX (?)
the backrest was the first mod since my wife requested it. shes very happy with it and wont ride without it (i dont blame her). i did however get mine for ~$50 cheaper than ebay from zanottis
I got a medium one that I have not put on ebay yet. P/N 52933-97B. You'll still have to buy the backrest pad though. PM me an offer if you are interested. It is in mint condition, used for less than 1K mikes. I had to buy the tall one so I could use my Ultra SAC bag on a long weekend trip.
