I'm going to hardwire my GPS tomorrow through the accessory switch to the aux. connector under the seat. Of course the black is the ground but does anyone know if the red w/yellow strip or the solid red is the hot lead for the accessory switch? Never have a schematic when I want one, lol...
Thanks in advance......... T
Use your volt-ohm meter set to check 0-20 VDC and test each one against ground using the aux switch. I am pretty sure it's the red one, but, test to be sure.

There are little pins in the accesory plug that you have to move in oder to get the plug to work from the switch. You have 3 options, Ign switch/hot, batter/hot or acc switch/hot. I looked for some paperwork I had that told about this, but I can't find it... but maybe it was in the owners manual.
