I have the calvary helmet that I love. In fact I just replaced it with a new one after my old one was damaged. Sena has came out with a new version so I got a good price from revzilla on the old model on sell now.
A buddy has the Calvary. He says the voice command is no good at freeway speeds, but around town is okay. I have a FF with bluetooth and we can converse. He sounds pretty clear on my end. He also uses the ear pads that come with it to help hear the speakers better. He rides an SG with Rinehart pipes if that helps.
I use Sena's in full face helmets. I've had the SMH10, 10S, and 20S.
I have a couple buddies that have the Sena Cavalry and a couple more use the Sena 20S with half or 3/4 helmets.
I'm about half deaf and can't hear unless I use Plugphones with my Sena. Last time I installed my 20S I didn't even bother putting the speakers in the helmet.
The buddies with the Cavlary helmets seem to like them very well. They do use the ear cup things to hear better.
I have noticed that when talking to my buddies with the 1/2 or 3/4 helmets and the Sena 20S it makes a huge difference where their microphone is. If it gets bumped away from their mouth we can't hear what they are saying.
