Default Deep sounding pipes?

Ok, now that I finally got my new Street Glide the decisions about mods begins. What pipes have that nice DEEP base sound without costing an arm and a leg? Have actually heard some people say the Rush slip ons sound nice and deep for a great price. Any suggestions?

For the money , you cannot beat RUSH slip ons , I have the 2 inch with V&H Tru duals on my 07 RKC. Nice deep rumble and bearable at highway speeds , throaty as hell when you let it rip. They can be foundon E-Bay for around $250.00 BTW ,I have had the 2 1/2 baffles and I could not get them to stop popping on decel , the 2 & 2 1/4 baffles work great though . Good luck

Ditto budzilla - I put on the Rush slip -ons, 2.25" baffles on my '05 Ultra - love the sound. Did the breather and remapping of the ECM. Had the dealer do it - so paid thru the nose.... I get some small "pops", but nothing I would consider a large backfire.

I bought a set of WildPigs slip ons. I listened to several pipes and they were the ones Ipicked due to the deep tone and the sound quality on the highway. Not to loud but low and deep. And at $169 to your door you can't go wrong. Here is a link to where I got mine. Hope this helps. You can also go to Wild Pigs web page for some sound clips. www.kruzerproducts.com

Take your time and go to bike nights and listen to a lot of different ones.

I finally went with one of the FuelMotoUsa packages of pipes/air cleaner/power commander and got the SuperTrapp pipes which I think sound great. They also sell a package with Rush pipes.

Congrats on the new ride!!

Agree with oldhippie...take your time. When your around other bikes and like something you hear find out what setup he has and go from there. Down the road a couple hundred dollars for what you really want is well worth it. Would hate to spend the money and not enjoy the sound.
