The wife does'nt care to take long rides anymore so I removed the tour pak on my 06 Ultra......its a WHOLE different bike now ....extremely easy to handle .I put a sissy bar with a backrest on it for her the few times she will be riding.Anyone else ever try this?
Did the same to my 05 ultra. I agree, totally different look and handling. I'm going to buy a fastback seat for it to really change the look. Probably will keep it that way for a while unless I'm making a real long trip.
I removed it on my 06 also this weekend and it rides like a different Bike, look and handling are great.
I am going to add the quick detach bracket at some point so I have the option of adding it back when mama wants to ride with me instead of her own bike.
Sweet.
I bought mine that way, and now I have bought a chopped tour pak. Of course it is detachable, and I run without it most of the time. But they sure are nice on a trip.
Here it is solo tour pak - I love the solo detachable hardware, very comfortable on those long trips.
Here it is 2-up tour pak
And here it is without.
Looks Great, I really like to option to have it on or off and to be able to shed some weight.
I do miss the speakers in the rear, but that will just take some getting used to.
Great looking Bike you have !!!
