Hey all, Friday I ordered an 8" windshield for my FLHTC from Jim "RenoGlide" and I want to tell you how pleased I am. This all stems from having an 18" windshield which is great for long rides and passenger protection then replacing it with a 5" Memphis Shades that is fine for the hotrod look but not much protection. I was ready to buy another Memphis Shades 9" and then cut it down until I did a search on HDForums and found RenoGlide's post. Long story short is Friday I bought a 8" dark gray windshield for a great price and it arrived the following Monday. I have installed it and can't wait for the monsoons to settle down for a couple hours so I can try it out. I strongly recommend this product or doing any business with RenoGlide.
I just checked their website again, the 'Aero' windshield will not be available until late 2007. They've beensaying all summer that they'd be available inSeptember. What a joke!
Aero: In late April we discovered that 3/4 of the material we had in stock was the wrong p/n & contacted the supplier. I was told by the same plastics manufracturer in May Id have new material in June... in June it was July....in July it was late August and now on July 30th I was told.... "maybe by November".
So far I figured Ive lost $30,000 in Aero sales, Ive lost good will with customers waiting and the monies I spent advertising the Aero. All because a massive international company considers my needs to be too small for them to worry about.
Jim at Fast Aire took the time to personally email me to make sure I was pleased with my product. I can't say enough about the windshield (6" grey smoked) or his service.
Jim is a great guy as I know him personally. When I bought my 8" aero, I rode to his place and while we were talking he installed it for me. One of the best mods I've made to my 07 SG. Jim also rides a SG and tests all his products with it. A well made product, priced right and great customer service. What more could you want?
