Looking to put the subject seat on a street glide I just ordered, looks real slick, flows with the lines of the bike and I ride solo 99% of the time. Can anyone provide feedback on comfort of this seat? Planning on taking some long trips.
I am a huge fan of Corbin saddles and have had several. I have yet to see the Rumble seat on the Street Glide, and I think I would like it. The biggest concern I have is that the rear "hump" looks a bit on the large side. I am waiting for them to come out with the Gambler (I've had the Gambler for my Deuce in the past). I already have a removable sissy bar.
Thanks for the input on Corbin. I have never riden on one, but the majority of the comments I have seen in hereare very favorable. The hump created by the folded passenger backrest seems to follow the lines of the saddlebag lids and with the black plastic backing it should go perfectly with my vivid black bike.
I'd love to see pics when you get the seat. I've purchased from www.cyborgcycles.com in the past. Remember, if you go through Corbin, they will cstomize the seat for you (color, material) at no add'l charge.
I have the rumble seat on my 05 Road King Classic. I have about 3,000 miles on the seat and am very pleased overall. It took a few hundred miles to break in and conform to my butt. One observation is that the seat puts you back about an inch and half versus the stock seat, so given the overall width of the seat I find myself having to scoot forward when stopped so my feet hit the ground in a comfortable manner. The rear seat is good but not great. While I have no problem being in the saddle all day long, my passenger comment is that after 3 hours or so it's time for an extened stop and rest. My seat was stock and I may go back to Cobin for a little custom work to move the back support forward by an inch. Good luck with yours.
The bucket style will provide you with some lower back support that I think is as good as the stock seat. The rear seat has great back support when flipped up. Install was very easy as well, about 5 mins. Good luck.
