Hey ford turns out you were right about the rear mounting tab being adjustable...I finally got a chance to take the seat back off and sure enough found it was adjusted all the way back. Pushed it all the way forward and now it’s perfect:

Filled the gap nicely. I should pay closer attention man I didn’t even notice it when I first put the seat on !

Anyway, thanks for all the replies...

This is what happened to me. I had the gap, was frustrated I couldn't use the aftermarket seat screw either....then i flipped it upside down and noticed the slider the rear tap is mounted on, adjusted with a screwdriver and I was all set with a perfect fit.
