Default Help, Start issue

Hi Gang, long story short, put on 14" apes, extended wires, put it back together everything works except no start. Nothing, doesn't crank literally nothing. It's in the run position.
Short of one of the extensions coming loose am I missing something, fuse or relay related? Every other switch both bars works fine!
Thanks in advance.
Scott

What year and model? I have a 2020 RGS and had a problem after bar install. It was the 5A fuse that had blown. Did you pull your main fuse prior to installation?

If you didn't disconnect your battery or pull your main fuse / relay , then it's possible you may have blown a fuse . Explain exactly what happens when you turn the ignition on , fuel pump prime , lights come on etc . The more information you give us the easier it is to help .

If everything else works accept the start button on your handle bar , then I would pull it and check the extension , it may have come loose when pulling the wires through ( internal wiring ) .

Have you checked for error codes ?

How did you extend the wires? Solder, shrink tube? Or, was this a crimp job? Gonna have to check your work and what was said in post above.

Hi sorry, 07 Ultra, the extensions come with connectors (males ends of the stock wires that were in the plug, go into a female receptacle), so plug in and shrink tube. When I turn on the ignition lights, radio, everything comes on, I'm not sure about the fuel pump priming, I'll have to check but I don't think so. then nothing. If I press start exactly nothing happens. Signals horn all the other buttons work.

Before pulling the wiring and checking for a loose connection ( inside the bar ) , check the connector and make sure the pins are locked in place and didn't back out when you plugged it in .

First thing I checked, they're all fine. BTW, no fuel pump prime when I turn on the ignition either.

Sounds like you may have to retrace your steps and go back into the right side and see if there is a loose connection inside the bar .

Did you check for error codes ? might help narrow thing down .

I'm assuming you checked fuses and connectors at the ignition too .

Someone with more knowledge on your ignition switch might help if you had to pull it . If it isn't installed correctly ( using proper tool ) , your issue could be there , Idk .
