I have a 07 RoadGlide. This is my first bagger. My stupid question is this. Is it me or are the hard bags scratch magnets. I've had the bike for 3 months and everytime I come back from a ride there seems to be a new scratch. Any ideas?
It amazes me too. I really got the bike to be a road warrior so im really laid back when it comes to these nusece types of problems. My son's sneakers have left nice surface scratches on the bags after barely rubbing them? Usually bike has too many bugs on it to tell[sm=biker.gif]
Same here, especially in the darker colors. I keep mine waxed and use the Harley Gloss spray between washings. This seems to help prevent minor scratches. But I can see that this is going to be a problem over the years...
My wife is the worst for scratching the tops of the bags. She has a couple of pair of high heel riding boots and always manages to get the bags. Guess I shoudn't complain too much about having my wife ride with me as much as she does.
I agree. My lids are always getting light scratches on them. I just had 3m clearbra put on the front of my tundra and love it. Strongly considering getting some of that stuff cut to fit to the tops of my lids.
My wife scuffs up the bags at least once a week. The scuffs usually buff out.
Have a few light scratches on the top of one of mine that were caused by some azzhat that parked too close to me and something he was wearing or carrying rubbed across the bag. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until the next day as it was dark when I left the event. [:@]
