Its a constant problem on the darker colors.You have the same scratches on the lighter colors,but they are harder to see.

 

Black RK here and mine is the same way.
Scratches, scratches, and more scratches.
Isneezed around my saddlebags yesterday and caused a scratch.
Heaven forbid I break-wind around them. I'd probably have to replace the lid altogether.

 

I don't have a single scratch on my 07 RG. However, I am always very careful when getting on or off. My previous bike had lots of little scratches on it and I have done my best to make sure that doesn't happen again.

 

I use the leather lid covers, they work well. you can take them off any time, because the velcro to under the lid of the bag

 

Yeah, small scratches on the bags and the tank. Can't seem to prevent it.
