Yep, I do like the red wheels. I was thinking 60 Fat spokes on 18's. Anyway, The bike with the satin paint---Is that black or silver? Looks silver. Very nice. Wheels are going to set that bike on fire! Cant wait to get mine going. Gonna have to start looking for a painter. Thanks guys, Roop
I think HD makes the SG in the flat denim black. I've seen that and it's cool. I think the SG was made for a blacked out look anyway. I say go for it. It'll definatly be different. Be sure to post pics when you're done though
looks pretty cool flat black..SG wasn't made in satin black so it would be different..makes me think of old saying..
"I like black cats..flat black."
Later
saw a guy uptown at the local autozone on his completely blacked out (flat black i might add) SG... i think there might have been maybe three piece of chrome on it... imho, he went to far with the black... wish i had gotten a pic of it... it was kinda cool lookin and kinda nasty lookin at the same time... i think if he had finished blacking the rest of the bike out it would have looked better, having a ~little~ chrome made it look worse to me...
I am really getting into the old school stuff and thought about selling the street Glide and buy a bike that I could go old school on. But, I hate to give up the Glide though. What do you guys think a SG would look like with a Satin black paint job,red scallops and possibly red wire wheels? Anybody got any links to aSG that might look old school? I have looked to no avail. I would hate to spend the money and it look like crap. Any thoughts, ideas, links, would be appreciated. Roop
There are some real nice old HDs out there at very affordable prices. Besides...you need a kick start and cant have fuel injection on a old school bike.

Yeah, Ive actually thought about goin that route. Even a ground up build, but, I dont need another bike in the garage. I just really like the look of bobbers and old choppers more than the billet and chrome and shiny paint. Dont get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with shine, but flat black and scallops and such look really cool to me. Besides, hitting the magic button and away you go is nice. I live on the gulf coast and kicking a cantankerous bike in 110% humidity and heat does not sound fun! Roop
