No spark.
I dont have a spark at the plugs.
Ok, I replaced the Crankshaft position sensor, the Camshaft Position Sensor, the coil, and the battery is new and tight.
When I first started it, after 4 years on a rack in a bike shop, I bought it and did a total rebuild of it. New harnesses and bearings, brakes, everything. When I first started it, it ran beautifully, and smoothly. After about 3 weeks, the trouble started. It started hard, and sometimes not at all. I found that I'd left the ground from the frame to the transmission of . Fixed that and it started right up, but then didn't want to idle right. Then it got worse as one day I started it and it wouldn't idle, backfired, and then started to die like it was running out of gas. Plenty of gas in tank. I checked the plugs and no spark. As I said, i replaced coil and the two afore mentioned sensors. But still nothing. I'm running out of options here. I'm going to recheck all the fuses again tomorrow. But, not holding mu h hope that that's going to help.

However, you mentioned that you installed "new harnesses"... if they were OEM HD harnesses, the manuals would help, but if they were aftermarket and/or personally rebuilt harnesses, you are kind of on your own...
Unfortunately, the 2001 Harley Electrical Diagnostic Manuals are all inclusive, of all models that year, instead of being broken down between softails, dynas, touring, etc like the subsequent years... breaking down the manuals made them smaller, and cheaper...!!
You would need the Harley-Davidson Electrical Diagnostic Manual, Volume I and Volume II, part #99495-01. It comes in two volumes, Volume I is 3/4" thick and Volume II is 1-3/4" thick.. Unfortunately, all models are covered in both volumes, so you would need the set to have complete electrical diagnostic coverage for your Electra Glide
Even used copies are expensive... but so is throwing parts at a problem..
I did a quick check on eBay.. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...95-01&_sacat=0
Good luck with your repair...
PS- you need a piece of equipment to read that bike, there is a procedure to bring up trouble codes... it involves pushing the right buttons, with the right timing & sequence, then reading the flashes... You should be able to find it doing a search if this forum... it's also covered in the Electrical diagnostic manuals...
