Default Changed Bars

Hello All,

I just equipped the Dominator pre wired 14inch Big daddy 1 1/2 inch apes, on a 2020 Road king specialand the best money I have ever spent. That being said I took the tank of etc to run new lnes (which i did not need after all) and now, like so many threads, will onl kick over and not fire, I am looking for straight answers with people who have fixed this problem as I have not had a ride in a few days and quite eager, that being said I did ubdi the screw before i realised the quick release, done that back up, no leaks or anything but yeah the problem of not firing, now nothing wrong with fuses etc i have tripple checked the seating of the electricals. Please help.
TYI
Sean

The new bars look nice! Good work.

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue.

Does the fuel pump prime when you switch the ignition on?

Did you replace the fuel pump fuse if you removed it before removing the tank?

Are you sure the fuel line quick disconnect is fully seated?

Did you double check that the twist grip sensor wiring is connected?

That’s where I’d be starting if I was in your place.

It sounds like it is, everything works all electricals on the bike work fuel gauge, lights switches etc all work, I took the quick release off a few times and plugged it back in, I did not remove the fuses or unplug battery, I used the existing throttle cabling and it went in like a dream (awesome setup Dominator) as per there instructions. I see the main fuse looks intact, however cant work out how to get the other fuse cover off. my TC and abs light flashes and engine light is on solid. it kicks over but wont fire.

You say you removed the fuel tank...

Did you make sure to reconnect the wiring harness for the fuel pump? It connects to the main bike harness right at the ECM tray, and it connects to the pump assembly under the console if you had that removed (not necessary for tank removal to pull the console).

Yes I did mate, but i just emptied again and realised this, and i have no idea how to fix as everything is working,

when i screw it back in it is twisting up, this makes no f'n sense why there would not be a swivel head on this?

Did the same thing to my fuel line a week after bringing my Road Glide home. What a PIA that was to fix.
