I have a 2015 road king with a newer battery in it. If I ride for a while and park it somewhere for 20-30 mins sometimes it wont start and I have to jump it. What could be the problem? I do have a set of small speakers wired in to one of the accessories switch but I always shut it off when I get off of the bike
New ones can go bad too . If it testes ok , check your battery cables , both ends and grounding points ( ahead of the battery , just under the rear of the tank ) . Get yourself a volt meter and test your charging system , could be a bad stator or voltage regulator , check the connectors on them and make sure they're clean , use some electrical contact cleaner on them . Here are a couple of posts that should help with your diagnostic .
Have you checked for error codes ? Load test the battery first to rule that out , then move forward .
