Question fueling problems

i have a 2000 flhtcui with a Marelli set up yes i know get rid of it now that that is said the bike died on me i shot gas in the throat and it fired right up ran for a while and died i replaced the fuel pump code said crank sensor so put a new one in,still same problem i just ordered a engine temp sensor and fuel pressure regulator,putting new cam sensor in tomorrow any other idea's out there oh i forgot to say it will start up and idle for a while then just dies squirt gas in throat and will fire,no new codes,question ,,if cam sensor is going bad will it shut injectors off?

You had a code for bad crank position sensor and replaced it? I’ll bet it it the other side. The sensor was replaced but it plugs into another wire. I’ll guess that is where the issue probably is. Might want to check the relays under the seat if I’m wrong.

no i put the new wire all the way the ecm pretty sure its in the fuel delivery but the crank sensor is cleared and diddnt come back but thanks for the feed back

I thought the 2000 had a plug in to a wire that then had a little overlap screw collar to secure. I think there are relays under the seat also that are fuel injection.

I’m glad you have an idea where to look. Loose wires have always driven me nuts which is probably why I was looking there.

i wish it just plugged lol had to un pin it pull it thru the harness put the pins back in and plug it back in will have to do the same with cam sensor's,next week the fuel regulator will get here it not in the tank like the 03 and engine temp sensor i figured its 21 years old might as well put it in new also
