One of my co-workers brought his RKC to work today and we had a group lunch function. Our co-worker rode his RKC to lunch. Several of us were hanging around his bike in the parking lot while waiting for everyone to arrive and were talking about his bike. He fired it up and it sounded good, but not great. The cause? Well to me it was the stock exhaust. Is it possible to find something just slightly louder/deeper sounding than stock? Is it possible to find something like this that won't require a remap?
I am not a loud pipes guy(anymore anyway), but I do feel the the stock pipes could stand just a little more rumble to them. Thoughts?
Supertrapp SE only 3db louder than stock. P/N 128-65115. Nice rumble and you won't need a remap unless you add a high flow air cleaner, but a Power Commander, SERT, Thundermax, FuelPak, FI2000 or similar would help the bike run even better.
Just installed the SE slip ons to my 07 RK. Slightly louder than stock, with a nice deep rumble and a hair more torque. Elected not to do the AC and remap at this time.
That was exactly what I wanted when I installed my Stage 1 stuff. The Supertrapp SE slip-ons are just right for me. Just slightly more volume, but quite a bit deeper tone...more rumble! Me likey![sm=biker.gif]
Slightly louder with a little more rumble... doesn't have that tinney sound.
Python slip-ons. Made by Vance and Hines for Drag Specialties. Removable baffles with a embossed logo located on the rear top. Chrome is very good and mate seamlessly with some down pipes. Won't have to remap unless changing air intake.
