I'm trying to download the Android Auto to my phone to use on my 2020 SGS.
As far as I can tell, It will work on my phone, I get the message that it will. When I try to download it, I get a message that reads, "There was problem on our end, please try again".
I've tried several times and still the the same message.
If you are trying from the phone and getting that message, I would suggest logging directly into the Google play store, search for the Application and try to install from the server side.
You shouldn't have to download it to your phone? Unless it's an older model? Which phone are you using? My last two androids just pop up android auto at plug in. On my bike and truck. Never had to install a app.

Damn, your right it should prompt you as well when it is plugged into a compatible head unit! Some folks use it without a head unit though so I completely forgot about that.
If it doesn't prompt you try a different cable, the head units are notorious for being cable finicky on Android.
Also make sure your bike has the latest update with Android auto. Many of the dealerships don't even know it's a thing. Mine for example, I specifically asked them to make sure it was updated on my bike before I picked it up. Sure enough it wasn't. I did it myself that night. Was a really quick process. But it's the bike that needed the update not the phone.
make sure your droid has the latest System Update applied Settings/System/System Update
(as of post date: Android 11, 5 April 2021 security update) ...not all droids can update to this.
What version of OS are you running and on what phone?
look for it in your Applications list: Android Auto
you should already have it. When you click on it, it'll open and run like any other app
(you don't need to attach the bike at this point)
once you've got it all running on the phone THEN attach the bike via USB
YMMV

My Google Apps was "Disabled". I "Enabled" it and the download went through no problem.
I will add, you have to have the Android Auto app enabled on your phone before it will show up on your Boom Audio, at least that is the way mine is. YMMV
