thnx.....it probably wouldnt take much to have a machine shop extend/angle the stock brake arm, but you are right..by the time you pay them, and THEN have the thing re chromed, you would have spent as much as the ez brake/softbrake costs.
With EZ brake you do not have raise your foot up to apply the brake. Can not move your feet as far foward on the floor boards compaired to the stock pedal because you boot will not fit under the pedal. If you have factory lowers, the EZ brake will not allow you to open the vents all of the way without the vent holding the pedal down.
contrary to this, I also had this problem with my 05, my 07 does not have the vent closing thing, very happy with the brake and comfort of E0Z Brake, word of caution to 08 touring owners, the fork in on the frame now not the brake, so until Kuryakan redesigns their brake you out of the money
I have the EZbrake on my 07 Ultra and love it. I have my highway pegs mounted so they are the same height as the brake pedal so I can slide my foot right over onto the brake from the peg.
I have the SoftBrake brake lever and SoftBrake shift lever. I like the funcunality of both and i think the quality is alittle better then EZ brake. just my oppinion, Putt
Received an Email from EZ brake. They claim thebrake pedalwill still work on the 08 touring bikes. I question this because Harley is listing a new part number for their extended brake lever for 08 touring models.
