Mine is an EBay special...I like it a lot! Cuts down on the wind buffeting and cold air (spring and fall) plus I added a stereo. You like or you don't....its a personal thing I guess.
Good luck...

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. For me, I think the new Revival E-Glide has moved me over to the batwing camp. I've got a Black Cherry RKC with some black bits and think black bags and a black batwing would look pretty cool.
Quick question. For those getting b-wings with radios, are you putting a quick-disconnect between the bike and fairing? How about the antenna?
And, are the 'Ebay' ones also quick disconnect?
Thanks for any info and for starting this thread (seating the hook in even harder!) LoL

My stereo is quick-disconnect, I have 2 plugs. One is a 2 wire plug for Postive and Negative and the other is a 8 wire I believe. That one has my wires for my rear speakers when I have my tour pack on and also I have installed the factory handle bar controls so those wires also.I run the wires and plugs up inside behind the headlight, the same route as your front signal and spot light wires run.
I run two hidden antennas inside the fairing, first I bought one cheap one and ran that. It worked ok and then I came across another one that had a extra antenna plug wired into it so you could run two antennas so I added that on. They work great together.
Yes it comes off just like the windshield. On the Reckless, I and others have modified the mounts in order for it to sit on the bike better. There is a threads on this. Read through it, lots of information and pictures.
Don't pay any attention to others saying they are fugly. They're just jealous 'cause the glides they ride are just Road Kings with the fancy batwing you can't take off.
I use mine in colder weather for extra wind protection or on long trips just in case I run into wet weather. Nice to convert the King into a full-on touring dresser or 'round town bar hopper. I have a plain-Jane batwing by Dead Center Cycles with a power port. (no stereo). I use the power port to charge my phone and power the GPS. It doesn't weigh much so it's not touchable up front, just can't see the road directly in front of you. For me the batwing is about the same as the windshield when passing a semi on the highway. Reckless, Dead Center and Hoppe are popular brands, but you can go cheap from eBay or Jeff Bezos' online store.
