Muller installed, clutch not holding
Before I break it all back open tomorrow - open to some counsel thoughts.
Of all the work/steps involved, here are a couple notes that may be pertinent:
1. When bleeding with a mighty vac I ran about half a large bottle of brake fluid through. Still thought I saw small bubbles. Maybe the clutch is simply not bled correctly. Last time I bled the clutch I used the manual/standard method. No issues.
2. When getting the Muller unit ready, used the stock spring with the Mueller piston as directed. When I pushed the piston in it seemed to bottom out and stayed that way. Think there is anything wrong with the unit? I would expect fluid to push/place the piston where it needs.
Thanks

Believe I have it bled. I chose to not install thread sealer of any sort on the bleeder screw (read a few posts here) - and it seems that may be the issue. I ran a small bottle of fluid through using the mightyvac, cracking the bleeder screw...generously. Started thinking about the threads and changed to just barely cracking open. Not sure I got a consistent no-bubble flow, but finally closed it up. Outta time today, but a quick garage test shows the clutch working. I might have a slight bit of forward creep with the clutch in - will check again. And maybe add sealer to the threads if I need to go back in.
I dislike the small bleeder screw from the stock unit. Is there a large piece that would work better? Might just be me.
Not sure if it feels that much easier to be honest. Need some more time with it.
Engagement point is about a half inch off the grip. Is that about right? Good? While most like the unit, not many post engagement points.

You can replace the bleeder screw with a Speedbleeder.
SB8125L is the part number.
I cannot say enough of the OVERALL improvement of clutch feel.
Easier to pull by...the advertised 30 or so percent. It does make a significant difference.
What I have not seen talked about is this: MUCH improved clutch action - easier/simpler/smoother to actually shift through the gears.
Feels like a different clutch. I like it! Well worth the investment of time and money to complete!
