01 Ultra Front Fork Recommendations
I am a vertically challenged individual (5'6 155lbs). I just did about 700 miles over the weekend and notice my bike wanders a little with any small wind. Not bad or dangerous but noticeable next to everybody I ride with. I am pretty sure my steering neck brearings need to be tightened a little as I have far less resistance in turning my front end compared to the other touring bikes I have felt. Not a big deal to do but while I have it apart I would like to drop the front a little and help the braking dive if possible. I have the 12" premium adjustable shocks on the back and I see a lot of different options for the front (cartridge, damper rod, springs). I am not looking to break the bank or make my Ultra a sport bike just want to lower it a little and maybe stiffen up the front. Does anybody have any good recommendations on what to go with? A cartridge setup looks nice but was hoping for something cheaper that still works. Any real world recommendations would be great!
