Default Performance bagger build 10k

Hey all,

I recently purchased a 2010 Roadglide and want to do some upgrades. it already has some minor aesthetic things done bars, risers, stereo and few other minor things but I want to start some major work and was hoping for suggestions. i was thinking, exhaust, front and rear suspension, brakes, and engine upgrades were all a must and then can slowly change the looks with less important aesthetic parts over time. any input on what parts i should be looking at to fit it all within that 10k-12k budget would be greatly appreciated. I have been looking at some different parts but I'm sure people on here know better than me.

Definitely read through the performance baggers thread. If you do your own labor 10-12k for mods will get you a lot of cool parts and you’ll end up with one sweet bike.

It's already been covered, that performance bagger thread is basically bike ****. Start with suspension, then move on to other things as budget/time/availability permits.

If you gave me $10k to make my bike a performance machine I'd probably do the following:

1. Rear shocks (Legends, Ohlins, etc) - $1400-1600 if you get remote reservoirs w/brackets.
2. Front cartridges (Legends, Ohlins, etc) - $700-900 for parts
3. Brembo calipers, front - $1400 (add in pads, rotors, hardware probably another $900 or so)
---- That's $4800 minus labor ---
4. I'd personally then call the guys over at Fuel Moto and schedule myself a 128 build - $3099 + $450 for tuner
---- That's $8350 give or take ----
5. Then I'd be swapping to better tires, bars, seats and trying to remove weight ($0 if you just remove unnecessary parts).
