Default Complete shutdown

Hit a bump this evening and hole bike shutdown engine lights dash everything then came back on any ideas where I should look first? Checked battery terminal and fuses/relays nothing out of place that I could see.

check both ends of the battery cables, not just the end on the battery.

Is it possible that a large bump could "trip" the bank angle device ?

Welcome to the forums from Ontario, Canada, assuming it's a Harley you ride?

There was a recent post in the softail section where a guy hit a really bad/big bump, and his bike died...

Turned out his BAS mount broke, the BAS tipped on its side, and the bike obviously wouldn't start.....

So I guess it's possible..

That happened to me a few years back on my 09 SG. At night...In the middle of a curve... at 60 mph... with my daughter on the back. She now knows what the pucker factor is. We hit a bump, everything went out for what seemed like 10 minutes but was probably only 3 seconds or so, and it all just came back on and we were on our way. Only happened the one time and never really looked into it. I still think about that every time I go around that curve, cage or bike.

1999/2000 models had a recall because of the cheaply made bracket/mount that would break from vibriation.
