'99 RK. The two studs on the sheet metal plate that mount under the fender the front seat bolts to. Rubber washers are shot and those studs just want to fall out. I have to manually hold them up whenever I want to add or remove the rear seat. I'd like to keep the original covered nuts but hate the system HD used to keep those studs in the fender. Tried using some insta gasket around the rubber O rings to help, no dice. Anyone else come up with a better idea to keep those studs proud of the fender without loosing them?
I think hes taking about the bolts on the fender.
That's right, the two bolts immediately behind the main seat, not the solo bolt for the back seat. I did find the rear most bolt seat hack and will be upgrading that.
I recently purchased a Saddlemen seat and the first thing they told me was to put 2 low profile nuts on the bolts otherwise the seat would push them through the fender. I put the 2 nuts on and it hasnt been an issue.
