Default No start, no light electrical 07 SG

Hi all,

First off I'm a Red seal (edit from HD) Heavy Duty mech with 45 years of experience so I understand diesel and driveline but I'm no Harley expert!

I got on my bike yesterday that has a new battery that is always on a battery tender and that has 12.8 volts in it and the starter just clicked. Now sometimes it clicks and sometimes it doesn't and the latest is the headlights won't even come on or really dim. Also when I turn it to ignition in either run or off it there is a sound like a sick calf that comes from around the battery so likely a relay. I did clean the battery terminal which didn't need doing so it's not that and I haven't checked the fuses yet!

Anyone had a problem like this, I thought I'd ask before I start digging or worse throw money at the dealer!

bcfpc1@gmail.com

Thanks very much

45 years HD mech and you can`t figure out a simple electrical diagnosis?

Very fishy...

It sounds like a bad ground, or a bad positive. Clean those connections for starters.
