As an engineer in the automotive industry for over 25 years I can assure you the are taking the cheap way out. If I could delete this account I would. I’m not seeking sycophants I’m seeking information on whether the bandaid works.
The fix works. I had a 12 oz transfer in the first 500 miles on a brand new ‘19 FLTRU. Dealership corrected levels, confirmed it 500 miles later, and added the vent during the 1K service. I’m at about 11,000 miles now with no further problems. If you research the transmission design, you’ll find it’s not possible to completely drain the transmission dry by the transfer path. The lowest it could go would still leave at least 12 ounce in the transmission.

You might have worked in the automotive industry for 25 years, but you’ve got a long way to go in the motorcycle world to know even half of what many riders on this forum have known for a loooong time.
