Default Reverse Gear

Found this the other day. Any opinions? Does anybody else make a reverse gear?

The website says it's only good up until the '05 model year. I assume that it would work with a Road Glide as well.

Well I am new to heavy bikes. The Roadglide did seem heavy when backing up. But since I don't have the bike yet, my immpression was based on the demo ride, with no actual practise backing up.

Any new bike can seem heavy. My sportster seemed heavy to me and now I just whip it around like it's weightless. I would suggest riding for a season before dropping over a grand on a reverse gear.

After you ride for awhile you'll learn how to park without backing up up hill. Reversers are for sidecars and trikes .

Yep, first time you park "wrong" you'll never have to worry about needing a reverse gear. Anyway, I have a reverse... and she rarely complains!

I'm new to riding street bikes. Backing up with your legs make it all worth while. I figure like this for dropping 22K on my bike I'm going to be extra carefully anyway. I will drop a women before my bike.

Goldwings have a reverse gear because theres no room to move your legs around all that plastic ****, but I havent really found a need for it on my Roadglide.

I have a side car and I have looked fondly at the reverse gear.

When the wife and I are on board and on level ground, backing is a little bit of a challenge. I have also had a problem with my right foot hiting the lower mounting hardware and a couple time pulled under (caught between ground and bar).

The $1400 is a little distraction but not a show stopper.
