It hasn't been mentioned yet, but did you happen to install new grips or levers along with the bars? There's been several reports of aftermarket grips/levers not playing well with the switch.
Exactly, While in motion normal riding, i can see what gear i am in until I pull in the clutch. Which tells me the clutch sensor is good. so that cant be the reason the bike wont start in gear
The above bolded text got the best of my curiosity. My bike will start in gear, however the clutch lever must be very close, almost touching the grip. While out riding today, I discovered the gear indicator display would go blank when the lever was pulled to about half it's travel. This leads me to believe, much like cruise disengagement, other factors are involved besides switch activation. Point being, I wouldn't rule out a faulty clutch switch based on a functional gear indicator display.
